Let me introduce myself: I am Nadia, the hand and the mind behind every hat.
I was born in St. Petersburg, grew up in Venice and received my artistic education in London at the Central Saint Martins University of Art & Design.
I inherited my passion for art and fashion from my grandmother who taught me to draw (especially horses, a great passion of mine), to embroider and to sew, from an early age. My love for fashion grew when my family moved to Italy, and above all, from my mother, a real shopping lover.
After my studies I was lucky to be able to have many creative experiences in various ateliers, especially in Russia where I worked at the Vozrojdenie theatrical costume atelier, helping in the making of costumes for great theaters such as the Bolshoi and the Mariinsky. I have worked on world famous theatrical productions such as Nacho Duato's Karamazov brothers. Right here I discovered my greatest passion: decoration. The idea of having a room full of lace, ribbons, pearls, crystals and so on sparkles in my mind a thousand ideas and techniques. I like to design them by myself, taking inspiration, among many things, from the artisanal production of traditional Venetian masks, as well that of haute couture. I also like to incorporate elements of nature such as dried flowers, stones, shells and spiritual elements including the Palo Santo wood that I use every morning to "clean" the energy of my atelier.
Travel is another fundamental factor that nourishes my creativity. From travel I get the inspiration with which I create my hats and discover new materials around the world. Some hats have names of places that have a special place in my heart.
During the COVID-19 emergency, looking for an outlet to my creativity, I picked up an old Borsalino hat that I had owned for years and painted it with a white horse in honor of my grandmother Faya. My first creation aroused the interest of friends and family, and so the idea of making it a small business was born. I like the idea of knowing that there are people in the world who wear my creations and to be able to contribute to their uniqueness and style.
